Buspirone/Buspar

– for antianxiety agent: – Adult: initially 5mg tid PO, may increase dosage by 5mg/day q3day prn; – optimal daily dosage is 20-30mg; – maxium daily dose is 60mg; – contraindictations: avoid concurrent use of other CNS agents; – concomitant use of MAOI may be hazardous (elevation of blood pressure)
