- Discussion:
    - T1 images provide contrast between muscles & adjacent tissues;
    - normal Muscle has low-intermediate signal intensity on both T1 & T2 images where as inflammation and lesions of muscle will have an increased signal on T1 & (even higher on) T2 images,
    - its important to note that normal muscles may have an increased signal on T2 images, when they are adjacent to neoplasms
