- patella:
- benign tumors of the patella are more frequent than malignant tumors (73% versus 27%);
- most common benign tumors are GCT and chondroblastoma;
- treatment:
- benign stage I and II: curettage;
- benign stage III: patellectomy
- stage Ia tumors: extensive patellectomy;
- stage Ib tumors: patellectomy with excision of involved tissues;
- stage IIB: extra-articular resection or amputation;
- Patellar Tumors.
