Tibial Plateau Frx: Loss of Reduction

- Discussion:
    - x-rays are taken at 3-4 weeks to ensure that there is no loss of reduction;
    - intact fibula in bicondylar or medial plateau frxs causes many fractures to displace into varus;
    - local compession frx tend to loss reduction most frequently;
    - most common cause of delayed union is gradual loss of frx reduction over a period of weeks because of inadequate
            treatment that allows fracture movement or hold fragments apart;
            - malunion of > a few degrees results in enough deformity to warrant osteotomy for correction;
