Mezlocillin/Mezlin

       - Penicillin Family
       - AntiPseudo

- Adult: 2-4gm q4-6hr Injection; or 200-300 mg/kg/24hr; 1.85mEq Na/gm;
- More active than Ticarcillin against Enterobacteriacae, same activity against P.aeruginosa;  good activity against B.fragilis;
- Diffusion from blood into CSF adequate w/ or w/o Inflammation; Ratio of CSF to Blood Level (%): Normal Meninges: ; Inflammed Meninges: 20; Dosing Regimens for Patients with Renal Insufficiency: (Dose for 70 kg Adult {gm/dosing interval in hours}):CrCl:>80:3/4-6; CrCl:50-79:3/4-6;  CrCl:30-49:3/6; CrCl:10-29:3/6-8;
    - 60% of drug will be excreted in to urine (w/ nl RF(x))
- Will interact with aminoglycosides, Oral Anticoagulants, Oral contra
