- Management: * Goal: Reduction of the DBP to 100-110; note: excessive reduction is avoided to minimize the risk stroke, MI; * In the absence of encephalopathy or acute vascular damage use Oral Rx: 
- Nifedipine; 
- Clonidine; * Parental Antihypertensive Agents: 
- Nitroprusside; Initial DOC; Contra w/ Hepatic or RF - Diazoxide: 50mg IV injected in 3min q15min x 2 doses 
- Hrdralazine 
- Nitroglycerin: Preferred agent w/ moderate HTN w/ Acute Coronary Ischemia, after Coronary Bypass surgery; ?? Contraindicated w/ Inferior MI w/ Rt ventricular dz; 
- Labetalol
