Discussion one of the first bisphosphonates used to treat patients with cancer-related hypercalcemia; it can be administered either as an intravenous infusion in a dose of 4-6 mg per km given over a period of two to five hours qd for 3-5 days or as single IV infusion given over 2-9 hr period

Clofibrate/Atromid S

Indications: for types III, IV, V hyperlipoproteinemias not responding to dietary control; lowers very low density lipoproteins possibly by inhibiting cholesterol synthesis; Adult: 500mg PO qid; Monitor hepatic function may precipitate gallstone formation
