- Discussion:
- tendon retracts into palm, severing all blood supply and creating extensive scarring in tendon sheath;
- repair within 7 to 10 days is required;
- vincula are ruptured;
- in type I and
II injuries the tendon end will enlarge to such a size that
it is impossible to thread the tendon back thru the digital sheath;
