- for hypertensive emergencies;
Adult: Hypertensive crisis:
- 1-3mg/kg/dose IV up to maximum of 150mg IV;
- may repeat 15 min later, then at 4-24hr intervals;
- or try: 50mg IV injected in 3min q15min x 2 doses while monitoring BP q5min;
- max dose = 300--450mg;
Peds: Hypertensive crisis: Supplied: Injecion 300 mg/20 ml; caps: 50 mg; oral suspension 50 mg/ml
