Types of Meniscal Tears

- Bucket Handle Meniscus Tear:

- Horizontal Tear:

- Longitudinal Tear:

- Posterior Horn Tears of Medial Meniscus:

- Radial Meniscus Tear

- Flap Tear:
      - one of most commmon meniscal tears and is believed to propagate from
          either the radial or Bucket Handle Tears;
      - separating the base of this tear is all that is required, and this
          probably the easiest to remove;

- Oblique Tears:
      - full thickness tears running obliquely from inner edge of meniscus
          out into the body of the meniscus;
      - if base of tear is posterior, it is referred to posterior oblique tear;
