Temporal Arteritis


- Manifestations: - decrease / loss in vision / jaw claudication; - that temporal arteritis is a systemic illness (low grade fever, malaise, weight loss, anorexia, weakness) seen in pateints over 50 years of age; - if this condition is suspected, order ESR; - visual loss in Temporal arteritis is a medical emergency and should be managed in consultation with a neurologist or rheumatologist;
