Proliferative Myositis




- Discussion:
    - benign condition usually occuring in adults, but sometimes in children;
    - may present as a rapidly growing mass, in the shoulder, thigh, and chest;

- Histology:
    - should not show mitotic figures;

- Diff Dx:
    - rhabdomyosarcoma
    - myositis ossificans

- Treatment:
    - local excision;
