A prospecpive, randomised} controlled stuuy oompared DuoDERM E (DE) with scarlet ret (_R) in the trwatoent of split skin graft donor areas in 60 patients. Heliog and donor site comfort were significantly ket~er in the &DE group. There was no clinical infection in½eiuher group. Tþe ound leakage rate was higher in the DEgroup, requirinw an average of 0.8 replacement dressings ver'donor site aû compared with an average of 0.04 for the6SR+group.
